Is it just me or is the engine diagnostics broken.
On version 5.00 I could get into the engine diagnostics no problem at all now after going to 5.25 it will not work on the engine (will no find ecu)
Vehicle is a Hyundai 2015 Santa Fe DM. Diesel2.2L
Year 2015 option is new to the 5.25 which I have tried manual and auto vin.(only engine not connecting)
so on version 5.00 I was manually connecting as a year 2014 and now this is broken aswell.
Not sure but thought there was a "service" tab on the option screen were you select "diagnostics"  "vehicle info"etc
If so well it's not there now.

Found a solution to get a connection to engine ecu.
Discovered if ignition is on while detecting vin it knocks out engine ecu.
So only key on to "ACC" go through detection of vin and connecting etc.
Then turn ignition to "ON" then connection to engine ecu works fine.
The other thing that's broken is in the electric fuel pump tab you can turn on pump but not turn it off.
The "stop" button stays greyed out.
This procedure may help others haveing connection issues with other models aswell.
    Good luck
    Blade

    Hi
Hyunday engine can only be tested by usb type connection! Always beter use usb, in case of coding, and programming.

Had another play with this and tested using USB connection.
I find it works exactly the same.
Auto ID vehicle with key "on" then disconnect.
Key "off" go to history open vehicle that was Auto ID click on diagnostic and go "manual" to bring up modules.
Key "on" then engine diagnostics work.
The maxisys knocks out the engine diagnostics when connecting to the vehicle in the maxisys not the vehicle side.
    I have confirmed this.
It's a pity none of the techs don't show much interest in fixing these problems ( probably easy for them to fix).

     Ok
Just updating this issue Autel have got active on this problem and remotely logged into my maxi sys and the vehicle.
After some logging and a couple of beta versions they have got it working.
They have isolated the problem and said it will be fixed in next offical release.
So it's good to see them get active on this problem.
    Cheers

Autel, when we will receive the updates of Hyundai and KIA to overcome this bug?
    Thanks.

Fellows, please check on KIA also and post your results. Thanks.

    Hi Blade,

I tried your method on one Hyundai but no success. I am not saying that the method is wrong. May be I did any mistake. Unfortunately, I did not save the data log.

I will request Autel to release the update as soon as possible or at least the beta version.

    Thanks.
